• Multi-layered bordered foam dressings consist of a highly absorbent foam pad, an additional layer containing superabsorbent polyacrylate fibers, protective film backing, gentle silicone adhesive, and a secure border
• Used to absorb and retain exudate away from the wound and facilitate a moist environment
• Gentle silicone adhesive helps allow for atraumatic removal
• Not made with natural rubber latex
• Sterile

Silicone Bordered Foam dressings are sterile, foam dressings made with a highly absorbent foam pad, protective film backing, gentle silicone adhesive, and secure border. The dressings are used to protect and absorb exudate from the wound, which helps facilitate a moist environment and may promote healing.

Indications:

Silicone Bordered Foam Dressings may be used for the management of moderate to heavy exuding, partial to full-thickness wounds, including:

• Pressure ulcers
• Diabetic, venous, and arterial ulcers
• Post-operative surgical wounds
• Graft and donor sites
• Traumatic wounds (eg. skin tears, road rash, and minor injuries)
• Lacerations and abrasions

Contraindications:

Third-degree burns and lesions with active vasculitis.
